HOW DO I GET MY MIRACLES FROM THE LORD? (PART 1): THE SIX KEYS/RULES YOU NEED FOR A SURE MIRACLE!
Have you been EXPECTING a MIRACLE from the Lord in any AREA of your life? If yes, follow these SIX KEYS/RULES to get your MIRACLE:
1) DO NOT FEAR OR LET YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED; STAND STILL! For God to part the RED SEA for the Israelites, the very first RULE God gave to them was: "Do not be AFRAID.STAND STILL and see the SALVATION OF THE LORD." (Exodus 14:13). The FIRST and FOREMOST THING that ROBS Christians of their MIRACLES is FEAR! It is the DEVIL'S FIRST LINE OF ACTION to STOP your MIRACLE! BEWARE. This is why the scripture says: "For God has not given us a SPIRIT of FEAR but of POWER..." (2 Timothy 1:7) When we are AFRAID or FEARFUL, it ROBS and DENIES us the POWER that would have ACCOMPLISHED the MIRACLE we need. BEWARE OF FEAR!
2) NEVER GET OFFENDED WITH YOUR SITUATION! Getting OFFENDED when you face CHALLENGES, unknown to many is TARGETTED not at our SITUATION but the Lord! This is one thing the Lord TAUGHT me through a REVELATION earlier in my Christian life! BEWARE OF OFFENSE! You cannot be OFFENDED with the LORD and EXPECT a MIRACLE from Him! This is one REASON you have been MISSING your MIRACLES! "Blessed is he who is NOT OFFENDED because of Me," so said the Lord to John the Baptist. (Matthew 11:6)
3) DON'T JUST PRAY, ENTER God's SANCTUARY! it is Asaph, a Psalmist who said: "When I thought how to UNDERSTAND this, it was too PAINFUL for me - Until I went into the SANCTUARY of God." (Psalm 73:16-17). When we face problems, CONFUSION holds SWAY, FEAR AND DOUBTS REIGN. DISCOURAGEMENT FLOURISHES in our heart. We cannot understand our situations. When Jesus said: "Ask, and it will be GIVEN to you, SEEK, and you will FIND; KNOCK, and it will be OPENED to you," (Matthew 7:7), He was REVEALING a SURE and INFALLIBLE PATH to MIRACLE! He also showed that PRAYER is NOT about ASKING ALONE. What did Jesus mean by "SEEKING?" Psalm 27:8 states: "When you said, 'SEEK MY FACE,' my heart said to you, 'Your FACE, LORD, I will SEEK." To show what it means to "SEEK THE FACE OF GOD," David stated earlier on in the Psalm 27, "One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I SEEK: that I may DWELL in the HOUSE of the LORD all the days of my life..." (Psalm 27:4). The "HOUSE OF THE LORD" is the same with the SANCTUARY. To "SEEK THE FACE OF THE LORD" is therefore to ENTER into HIS SANCTUARY. God's "SANCTUARY" however is where the PRESENCE of the LORD is made MANIFEST. To "SEEK the FACE OF GOD is therefore to ENTER into the PRESENCE of God. When Jesus said, " ASK, and it shall be GIVEN to you; SEEK, and you shall FIND..." He meant we shouldn't just ASK, we should LEARN to ENTER God's PRESENCE or SANCTUARY when we NEED a MIRACLE! Is this CLEAR to you? WHY then is Jesus asking us not to just ASK but ENTER God's PRESENCE? It is answered by the FOURTH KEY.
4) LISTEN AND OBEY! Many Christians are like NAAMAN,the leprous commander of king of Syrian army who came to Elisha for a miracle and was told by Elisha to go and dip himself in the Jordan River seven times and be healed. (2 Kings 5:10-19). The REASON Jesus told us to not just PRAY but SEEK when we need a MIRACLE is seen in this story of Naaman. The ESSENCE of going into the SANCTUARY or PRESENCE of God isn't just to ASK but to HEAR what God is SAYING! Like Namaan who said, "Indeed, I said to myself, 'He will surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God and WAVE his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy," ( 2 King 5:11), many Christians have FIXED IDEAS about the METHOD they EXPECT God to ADOPT in giving them MIRACLES. They have heard stories of how God did a miracle for a brother or a sister. They want God to do theirs the same way. HONESTLY, many brethren have to REPENT Here! The REASON many Christians MISS their MIRACLES is as a result of STEREOTYPISM! They are FIXED in the IDEAS about particular METHOD of MIRACLE like Namaan. Please LISTEN brethren, if Namaan NEVER LISTENED to Elisha's INSTRUCTIONS, he would have MISSED his MIRACLE for SURE. If you do not LEARN to go into God's PRESENCE to get INSTRUCTIONS and FOLLOW them, you may NEVER RECEIVE certain MIRACLES! Mary the "mother" of Jesus learnt this RULE quite early from Jesus even before Jesus started His ministry. When they went to a wedding in Cana in Galilee and the celebrants' wine got exhausted, she informed Jesus about it and said to the servants, "Whatever He SAYS to you, DO it." (John 2:5) UNDOUBTEDLY, Mary had learnt that the WAY to RECEIVE MIRACLE from Jesus is by DOING whatever He says. And indeed, if Mary hadn't told the servants to do whatever Jesus told them, they would have MISSED their MIRACLE because the INSTRUCTION Jesus later gave was seemingly foolish. Even MARY, although the surrogate mother of Jesus had to FOLLOW the FOURTH RULE of receiving a MIRACLE which is by SEEKING, RECEIVING and OBEYING the INSTRUCTIONS giving to us when we SEEK the FACE of the Lord. I shall write more on this.
5) When Jesus said "ASK, and you shall receive; SEEK and you shall FIND, " He also included a FIFTH RULE that is VERY ESSENTIAL to MIRACLES. Certain CHALLENGES in life cannot be RESOLVED by MERE ASKING! How possible would it have been for the Israelites to have POSSESSED the Canaan land by mere ASKING? You see, they had to FIGHT WARS before they could POSSESS their POSSESSIONS. Certain CHALLENGES in life are ORCHESTRATED by DEMONS! For this challenges to be RESOLVED, we MUST FIGHT a WAR! This is where SPIRITUAL WARFARE comes in, and it is what the Lord means by KNOCKING! "KNOCKING or SPIRITUAL WARFARE," among others involves PERSISTENCE in PRAYER. The Lord taught about it in Luke chapter 18: where a WIDOW went to a JUDGE who neither feared God nor regarded man, saying, "Get JUSTICE for me from my ADVERSARY." (Luke 18:3) We are told that the JUDGE REFUSED to get justice for this widow at first. But BECAUSE of this widow's PERSISTENCE, the JUDGE SUCCUMBED and said: "Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow TROUBLES me I will AVENGE her, lest by her CONTINUAL COMING she WEARY me." (Luke 18:4-5). We all know who the ADVERSARY of all Christians are. The Bible says of Satan, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your ADVERSARY the DEVIL walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8) So our ADVERSARY is the DEVIL and his angels. When Jesus therefore gave the parable about the PERSISTENT WIDOW, He was TEACHING about SPIRITUAL WARFARE, which is CAUSING God to GET JUSTICE for us from our ADVERSARY, SATAN. But according to Jesus, that is ONLY POSSIBLE through PERSISTENT PRAYER. And that is what Jesus referred to as KNOCKING. Do you know what HAPPENS when we have KNOCKED and SUCCEEDED? "KNOCK, and it shall be OPENED to you." (Matthew 7:7-8) When we SUCCEED in SPIRITUAL WARFARE through PERSISTENCE in PRAYER, there is an OPEN DOOR for us! Now, this shows what the REAL PROBLEM was! SATAN, the ADVERSARY, and his angels CLOSED our DOOR of SUCCESS or whatever the need may be! Many Christians MISS their MIRACLES because they have not LEARNT about SPIRITUAL WARFARE through PERSISTENCE in PRAYER! Not ALL PRAYER is ANSWERED by ASKING a FEW TIMES! That is what Jesus IMPLIED when He said we should KNOCK.
6) KEEP HOPE ALIVE: DOUBT is a MIRACLE-EATER! There is NOTHING that GUARANTEES MIRACLES after PRAYER than HOPE! You may call this BELIEF too. But it means to KEEP HOPE ALIVE or to BELIEVE you shall RECEIVE what you PRAYED for. It is to have a POSITIVE OUTLOOK and EXPECTATIONS. The scripture states: "Now HOPE does NOT DISAPPPOINT..." (Romans 5:5) If HOPE does NOT DISAPPOINT, then HOPE is ONE SURE WAY of RECEIVING our MIRACLES after PRAYER! We keep HOPE ALIVE through PRAISES, THANKSGIVING and WORSHIP!
