The way President Trump went about it is totally wrong. First he puts an oil company head in charge of the EPA, and then one of his first executive orders is to let the pipelines go through. These pipelines are not for domestic use. Most Americans have been scammed into believing our oil prices here will benefit or we will be more energy secure.

They don't know these pipelines are to take oil through our land to foreign market. That the American people don't benefit from these. FOREIGN OWNED companies can trash American lands and health and then exit. Why is Trump and Tillerson doing this? Follow the money. His only priority in life is money, money, money. So sad to have a person in the White House that has no respect for our earth and, we, its inhabitants.

I might add that neither of these men believe there is a problem with global warming and they also believe that climate change is a hoax. Another thing that this order will do is turn loose the mineral rights in Alaska, and in the National Parks. People really need to be worried about that more!

Any attempt to eliminate the EPA or slash its budget would irreparably harm our health and communities. We depend on the EPA to protect our air, water and climate from harm. Without them, not only would it become open season on the environment for big polluters, but you would eliminate even the most basic of programs like grants to clean up brown fields and Superfund sites. The EPA also performs the most basic of functions like monitoring air quality in our communities, ensuring our water is safe to drink, and enforcing protections from industrial discharge of toxic water pollution. They protect our air from increased emissions of mercury, arsenic, lead, soot, and the pollution that causes smog. When EPA oversight is lax, or eliminated, we can expect more incidents like the Flint water crisis or disputes between states light pink prom dresses

Bill; H.R.861 - To terminate the Environmental Protection Agency.
A bill introduced in Congress February 3 is designed "To terminate the Environmental Protection Agency." Trump's proposed budget would gut the agency and eliminate popular programs to do basic environmental cleanup.

To protest this bill, make phone calls to your Congress people. They're easy to do, (be nice to the people who answer the phone - they're just doing their job).

Doesn't he realize he lives on this planet too? Doesn't he care about his family? His hatred for Obama runs so deep that he is willing to sacrifice the entire planet to undo anything that Obama did. Not only that, he wants to undo everything that has taken years to put in place, just so big businesses can make more money.

Climate change may be the most important challenge humanity has ever faced. The Paris Agreement -- ratified last year -- stands as an unprecedented global pact among 196 nations to take steps to prevent catastrophic climate change and ensure a cleaner, safer planet for future generations. Trump pulled the United States out of this agreement!
