Good afternoon everyone!!! Hope you guys are enjoying this beautiful Sunday afternoon... I often read a lot of the post and comments in this group but I have never posted anything but something in me wanted to share some things so here goes.. Kinda long but bare with me.. I often see the posts that normally starts with MY HUSBAND SPOILS ME which leads to the showing of rings dresses or expensive dinners which is all wonderful... But I want to share the other side of a marriage.. You see on AUG 9 2017 I had an accident at work that has caused me to be out of work ever since that day.. From that day until now I may have been out the house a total of 6 to 8 times and that includes doctor appts.. Well my husband starts his day around 6:30 am.. Keep in mind he works 6 days a week and 3 days out of those 6 are 12 hour shifts.. So at 6:30 he wakes.. After washing his face n brushing his teeth he fixs me breakfast bc it's hard for me to do so on certain days.. Now that breakfast may consist of him just pouring my cereal in a bowl n covering it so all I have to do is pour the milk.. If I'm hungry right then he brings it to me if not he tells me what it is and does the same for my lunch.. Prepare a plate from leftovers wrap the plate n have it in the microwave so all I have to do is warm it when I get hungry for lunch.. So he goes to work from 8am to 8:00 pm gets home around 8:30 walks In the house n ask if I ate dinner yet.. If not he starts dinner wash the dishes( if there are some) and puts on a load of clothes( he's a chef so his work clothes are washed every night bc there's food on them most of the time)afterwards he comes and ask did I take my shower yet( sometimes my body is so weak and in pain I just can't make it to the shower) if I hadn't shower he then runs the water help me out of bed to the shower n out so I won't fall n hurt myself.. Afterward he gets me back n bed fix My food brings it to me and while I'm eating he takes the dogs out feed them and tries to take his own bath.. Gets in bed around 1am n does it all over again the next day.. Oh did I mention the 12 hour shifts!!! So no I don't get flowers on a regular basis.. NO he doesn't come home with Versace perfume.. NO he's not taking me to the casino to eat at the steakhouse to SPOIL me.. But what he IS doing is... FOR BETTER OR WORST.. In SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH.. 1950 wedding
So to all the mature wives out there please don't EVER hang your head low when you see all the MY HUSBAND SPOIL ME POST bc you feel you are not getting those things from your husband.. YET remember the vows you guys took on your wedding day.. And if he is standing by those vows in every way possible then you are not just SPOIL but HIGHLY FAVORED!!!!! Only a FEW will understand!!!!
